At The OT Zone, we believe in empowering every child to reach their full potential, right from the very beginning. Our Bouncing Kangaroos: Regulation and Play Group is a specially designed program for infants aged 4 to 15 months, focusing on crucial early development in a supportive and engaging environment. Inspired by leading early childhood development philosophies, our program goes beyond typical playgroups. We integrate pediatric occupational therapy principles to offer a unique experience that supports both caregiver and infant in building foundational skills for a lifetime of learning and growth.
Our 6-week sessions are led by experienced pediatric specialists and are carefully structured to be age-appropriate and milestone-based. We focus on activities that promote:
•Gross and Fine Motor Skill Development: Engaging activities and gentle exercises designed to strengthen muscles, improve coordination, and enhance dexterity.
•Sensory Development and Integration: Encouraging exploration through various textures, sounds, and movements to help infants understand and respond to their world.
•Development of Play: Guiding caregivers in facilitating purposeful play that fosters cognitive growth, problem-solving, and creativity.
•Emotional and Social Development: Creating opportunities for infants to interact with peers and caregivers, building early social skills and emotional regulation.
•Language and Cognitive Development: Incorporating music, rhymes, and songs to stimulate auditory processing and early communication.
•Caregiver-Infant Bonding: Providing a nurturing space for intimate bonding through activities like baby massage and guided play, strengthening the parent-child connection.

•Guided Play and Exploration: Utilizing age-appropriate toys and activities to encourage natural curiosity and learning.
•Easy Exercises for Home: Learning simple yet effective exercises to continue your baby's development outside of class.
•Eye Movement and Coordination: Activities specifically designed to improve visual tracking and hand-eye coordination.
•Sensory Exploration: Encouraging babies to explore textures and sensations, stimulating their sense of touch and making small hands nimbler.
•Vestibular and Proprioceptive Stimulation: Engaging activities that stimulate the 'hidden senses' crucial for balance, body awareness, and regulation.
•Socialization: Valuable opportunities for both infants and caregivers to connect with others in a supportive community.
